In 2009 Dr Tessa La Mela completed her post-graduate training to become a qualified Invisalign practitioner. In 2016 she received a full scholarship to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic Orthodontics (Sequential Aligner Therapy).
As a general dentist, she has a keen interest in orthodontics (straightening and alignment of the teeth) but decided to focus only on no-braces orthodontics within the practice and has not looked back since.
What Is Invisalign?
A near-invisible and hygienic treatment, the Invisalign system uses an innovative approach to straighten your teeth. Invisalign treatment consists of a series of custom-made removable aligners made for you and only you. All you have to do is to wear these aligners, made of virtually invisible plastic, over your teeth to gradually move them to the ideal position. Best of all, most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them so you can keep doing what you love!
Dr. Tessa always has many patients undoing orthodontic treatment and enjoys watching their progress as their dream smiles come to life. We not only offer Invisalign, but other clear aligner systems such as Clear Correct – so that the treatment can be well-tailored to each patient. However, if clear aligners are not right for you, we can provide a referral to a local orthodontist to look at other options.
