Meet Dr Nichola Eliott (Dentist)
Dr Nichola is known for her warm, upbeat personality and her genuine enthusiasm for helping patients feel comfortable and informed about their oral health. One of her favourite parts of dentistry is seeing the moment when everything suddenly makes sense for a patient.
For Dr Nichola, dentistry brings together science, precision, and communication so people can feel confident understanding their oral health and the choices available to them.
Qualifications and Education
Dr Nichola’s path to dentistry has been anything but traditional. She studied across three Australian universities, completing a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Psychological Science at Griffith University in Brisbane, along with STEM studies at the University of Queensland.
Her curiosity about health and science eventually led her to dentistry, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Western Australia in Perth.
She values continuing professional learning and enjoys building her knowledge throughout her career.
A Passion Born From Curiosity
Dr Nichola grew up on a farming property in rural New South Wales and developed both a strong work ethic and a creative spirit. Her early studies were in fashion design, and she was awarded Young Designer of the Year at the Australian Wool Fashion Awards in 2013.
Although she had planned to pursue medicine since childhood, her career direction changed while working at a neurosurgery practice in Queensland. After shadowing a dentist friend for a day, she discovered the precision, technical skill, and creativity involved in dentistry and decided to pursue it instead. “Every case is so fascinating to me!”
Her background in psychology, business, and the arts shapes the way she communicates with patients, placing strong value on listening carefully and explaining oral health clearly.
Beyond the Clinic
Outside the practice, Dr Nichola enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. She has represented New South Wales in both tennis and hockey and continues to enjoy a wide range of sports. She is currently learning to surf and often spends her free time camping or hiking around Western Australia with her dog, Shadow.
